Fraser Institute’s annual survey of mining companies, published February 28, has ranked Nevada as the most favored jurisdiction in the world for mining investment in 2018, based on the survey’s Investment Attractiveness Index. Jurisdictions in Canada, Australia, and the United States dominated the top 20 places in the rankings, with Nevada first, followed in descending order by Western Australia, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Alaska, Chile, Utah, Arizona, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Queensland, Peru, Nunavut, Idaho, Finland, British Columbia, Ireland, and Ontario.
