FLSmidth reported expanding its service center in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and investing in a new service center in Tucson, Arizona, USA. As part of a strategy of targeting service growth, the expansions will add to the company’s comprehensive network, FLSmidth said.

Following the successful establishment of a new 5,200 m2 service center in Karaganda in 2021, the new purpose-built addition will add another 2,700 m2 workshop space plus 2,800 m2 additional warehouse area. It will enable enhanced service capabilities and offerings for HPGRs and other heavy mining products.

The new Tucson service center will offer a dedicated refurbishment center with a special focus on pumps, cyclones and valves. It is expected to be fully operational from August 2024.
