DTH Hammer Drills Faster, Lasts Longer

Atlas Copco Secoroc said its new COP 66 hammer provides penetration rates up to 15% faster than its predecessor, COP 64 Gold. In addition, the COP 66 hammer is more easily adjustable for feed force and rotation. With fewer parts, a 30% shorter and lighter hammer and a longer service lifespan, it’s more reliable and economical to run, according to the company. The COP 66 is designed for reliability and for quick and simple servicing—and for a new generation of drill rigs, the Atlas Copco SmartROC and FlexiROC. Innovations such as the company’s E-kit allow the COP 66 hammer to be rebuilt twice over its lifetime in normal abrasive conditions, compared with just once with COP 64 Gold.
