Pretium Resources has reported substantial gold and silver mineral resource increases at its adjacent Brucejack and Snowfield projects in northern British Columbia. Combined measured and indicated resources at the projects stand at 34.1 million oz of gold and 191.9 million oz of silver, while inferred resources total 21.7 million oz of gold and 202.2 million oz of silver at a cutoff grade of 0.30 g/mt gold.

Drilling at Brucejack and Snowfield during 2011 is planned at approximately 60,000 m, with eight drills reserved and drilling expected to begin in May. A majority of the drilling planned will be concentrated on known areas of high-grade mineralization at Brucejack, with the intention of tightening drill spacing to allow inferred mineral resources to be moved to the measured and indicated categories; improving knowledge of the continuity of the high-grade mineralization; testing the high-grade mineralization to depths greater than the current 650 m; and following up on a number of high-grade intercepts encountered.

The bulk-tonnage Brucejack mineral resource has been outlined along a 2.4-km north-south strike length adjacent to the regional Brucejack fault, up to 400 m east of the Brucejack fault, and to depths of 650 m below surface. The mineralization remains open in all directions.

Pretium acquired the Brucejack and Snowfield projects from Silver Standard Resources in December 2010.
