The Weir Group PLC and KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG announced that Weir Minerals has been appointed KHD’s exclusive worldwide agent and recommended service provider for high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGRs) for minerals processing applications.
KHD is a pioneer in this technology and has been marketing HPGRs in the cement and limestone market since 1984, and in the mining market since 1986. Weir Minerals is a major supplier in the minerals processing and mill circuit venues with its Warman centrifugal slurry pumps, Cavex hydrocyclones, Isogate slurry valves and Vulco wear resistant linings.
Scot Smith, Weir Minerals divisional managing director, said, “Offering the KHD HPGR extends our portfolio in mill circuit and minerals processing operations around the world, and will allow us to further our relationships and commitment to our customers.”
Weir Minerals said its sales and service representatives will begin representing this portfolio extension to their clients in the mining sector immediately.
