Siemens set prices on a package offering that includes a 1- to 20-hp SIMOTICS motor, a SINAMICS drive and a three-year warranty. The customer can choose from a list of default motor-and-drive combinations, which are then packed on a single pallet, shipped and billed together, the supplier said.
A Siemens Intelligent Operator Panel comes standard, as does protection against thermal damage in both engine and drive components.
Application macros are provided in the drive for easy installation and wiring; terminals are preassigned at the factory, and parameters are set automatically, Siemens reported.
The all-cast-iron motors are for severe duty, with a speed range of 4:1 for constant torque and of 20:1 for variable
torque. The rugged totally enclosed fan-cooled drives meet NEMA Premium standards, the supplier reported.
Communication options in these packages include the RS485 with USS and Modbus protocols. A Profibus is offered for a Totally Integrated Automation solution.
