Wenco International Mining Systems Ltd. has acquired GNSS supplier Automated Positioning Systems (APS) to enhance efficiency and safety for mining, earthmoving and land rehabilitation, according to company officials.

The deal unites APS’s independent machine guidance with Wenco’s established Fleet Management System and expertise in production optimization, asset health, safety, and connectivity systems for medium- and large-scale operations. The new product delivers a solution for any size or type of mine and quarry worldwide.

Wenco CEO Phil Walshe was upbeat. “This strategic step will greatly support our future growth in the Asia-Pac region and elsewhere,” he said; APS headquarters in Brisbane, Australia, accordingly, will serve as a regional branch office for Wenco.
