The opening session for E&MJ’s 2011 Haulage & Loading conference will focus the technologies associated with autonomous mining. Researchers performing R&D work with unmanned vehicles will compare notes with experts currently implementing and testing systems at mines.
In addition to the session on Autonomous Mining, the Haulage & Loading conference has four other sessions: Operations & Maintenance, Safety & Compliance, Loading Techniques and Haulage Systems. More than 300 engineers and mine managers are expected to attend the event, which take place May 15-18, 2011, at the Wigwam Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.
