Sandvik launched the RR340, a single-seal roller bearing rotary drill bit that can help customers achieve 45% longer service life compared to standard air bearing bits, lowering costs. The bit completes the supplier’s rotary portfolio.
The single-seal roller bearing technology and optional Power Carbide inserts ensure reliable and efficient drilling with 45% longer service life compared to standard products, Sandvik said. The bit features an abrasion-resistant radial seal. The low-friction bearing minimizes heat generation. Benefits include fewer bit changes, which reduces risk exposure and environmental impact.
The RR340 is available now in sizes ranging from 6.75 in. to 12.25 in.
