Outotec reported it won a $285 million contract for a copper plant for Russia’s Baikal Mining Co. The company will design and deliver a greenfield copper concentrator and hydrometallurgical plant for the project located in the Russian Far East.
The contract includes basic and detail engineering of the concentrator and copper hydrometallurgical plant, procurement, delivery of main process equipment as well as installation supervision, training and startup services. The main deliveries are calendared for 2020.
