Professor Stewart Gillies
Professor Stewart Gillies who retired from Missouri S&T as the Union Pacific/Rocky Mountain Energy Professor of Mining Engineering in 2015 has passed away in Australia. Dr. Gillies had two stints at Rolla, one in the early 1980s and the more recent appointment. Gillies taught mine ventilation and other courses.
