Charles-André Langevin

Charles-André Langevin, health and safety general supervisor, Meliadine, Nunavut, is the third recipient of Agnico Eagle’s annual Larry Connell Award for Collaborative Excellence. Selected from a group of strong nominees, he is highly praised by his colleagues for his leadership style, his approachability, and his commitment to forging strong relationships across the organization — qualities exemplified by Larry Connell, retired corporate director, regulatory affairs. The award in Larry’s name which was instituted in 2018 recognizes an employee who is a consummate partner and respected peer and who fosters core values of respect, responsibility and trust. The award also recognizes the employee for their impact, sphere of influence, both inside and outside Agnico Eagle and for supporting the company’s success with a high degree of commitment and collaboration. Langevin started as a Human Resources intern at Agnico Eagle in 2014 and in early 2020, Langevin was promoted to his current position. In recognition of his achievement, Agnico Eagle will donate $C5,000 to the initiative of his choice, the Kamatsiaqtut Nunavut Helpline — the first-ever crisis telephone line established in Iqaluit, Nunavut that works support community mental health.
