Effective April 8, Carly Leonida will join the Mining Media International (MMI) editorial team as its European-based editor. Her first assignment as an MMI editor will be at bauma 2019 at stand 303B in the Mining Hall C2.
“Carly is a widely respected mining writer and she will add to our industry-leading editorial team,” said Steve Fiscor, editor-in-chief and publisher, MMI. “She will mostly contribute to Engineering & Mining Journal and she will also be involved in other editorial activities and custom publishing projects.”
Prior to joining MMI, Leonida served as the editor of Mining Magazine for eight years. She holds a first-class bachelor of science degree in geography and geology from the University of Brighton and is an active member of various groups, including Women in Mining.
