Alamos Gold has reported positive drill results from its Aği Daği gold exploration project on the Biga peninsula in northwest Turkey, which it acquired from Teck and Fronteer Development in January 2010. As of early November 2010, Alamos had drilled more than 15,000 m at the project. Drilling initially focused on collecting representative samples for metallurgical and geotechnical testing but more recently shifted to infill drilling and testing for extensions of known areas of mineralization. Drilling continues to confirm expected grades and thicknesses, while the results from some holes have significantly exceeded grade expectations.

Drilling at Aği Daği is ongoing with three core rigs, and Alamos expects to provide an updated mineral resource estimate for the project as part of its annual mineral reserve and resource update in the first quarter of 2011.
