SKF says its Microlog Consultant four-channel vibration analyzer provides diagnosis for machinery troubleshooting and  maintenance verification, among other applications. With a bright, 6.4-in., 25,600 line resolution VGA color screen, the Microlog Consultant can clearly display spectra, time waveforms, cross channel phase, Bode, Nyquist, waterfall, and color spectrograms.

The unit also enables seamless data transfer for further analysis and report generation. Repair technicians are provided with wizard-driven measurement instructions and an automated analysis system based on pre-programmed ISO standards. Machinery diagnostics and automated analysis indications are provided by simultaneously assessing up to 64 individual fault criteria. Users can also choose to set their own limits by using the conformance setup generator tool from an included library of standards. In addition, the SKF Microlog Consultant allows users to select from a range of application modules, thereby creating a custom device that suits individual requirements. The SKF Microlog Consultant also features an Analysis and Reporting module: Once data is uploaded to this module, it is automatically shown in the application’s main window, and a single mouse click is all that is needed to view the data in an interactive graphical plot.
