Weba Chute Systems reported its solutions prove that correct design of transfer points greatly reduce product degradation. Custom engineered for individual application requirements, the solutions take a systems approach to bulk solids-handling design, the company reported. The solutions use what the company referred to as a supertube, with a cascade scenario, where 95% of the material runs on material at the same time in a tumbling motion creating a boundary layer, as opposed to sliding down the chute. The company designs the internal angle of its transfer chutes to match the design with the belt speed. This ensures product degradation is significantly reduced or eliminated, the company reported.
