FLSmidth won a $90 million order for SAG Mills, ball mils and cyclones from Josemaria Resources for its open-pit copper-gold project in Argentina. The supplier will deliver three gearless SAG mills, three gearless ball mills and cyclones to the 150,000-mt/d site by late-2023.
FLSmidth said the high reliability and efficient performance of the SAG and ball mills garnered the contract.
“The order is very positive news for FLSmidth,” Group CEO Mikko Keto said. “It illustrates great confidence in FLSmidth and emphasizes the proven performance and productivity of our high-end solutions,” he said. “The efficiency of the equipment will meet our customer promise to deliver sustainable productivity to the copper and gold mining industry.”
The mine is located in the San Juan province and has an anticipated mine life of 19 years.
