Epiroc agreed to acquire Remote Control Technologies Pty Ltd (RCT), an Australian company that provides automation and remote-control solutions for mining. With this acquisition, Epiroc will further strengthen its position as an automation solutions provider, the company said.
“Together we will provide complete automation and remote-control solutions to support our customers on their journey towards optimal operations,” CEO Helena Hedblom said.
Headquartered in Perth, Australia, RCT has roughly 225 employees and customers in more than 70 countries. It provides automation and remote-control solutions for either a single machine or an entire mixed fleet of machines.
