Draslovka acquired Blue Cube Systems, a South Africa-based firm that develops, builds and sells real-time mineral analyzers. Blue Cube’s flagship MQi technology is based on reflective spectroscopy for slurry and dry applications, and absorption spectroscopy for solutions. Results are shared with the client every 15 seconds.

The acquisition will make Draslovka, which specializes in the production of fully synthetic and highly purified liquid hydrogen cyanide, a “truly integrated solutions provider,” said Draslovka CEO Pavel Bruzek. “We are now perfectly situated to provide forward-thinking mining companies with a full suite of services that allow them to reduce costs, increase sustainability, manage their environmental footprint and, ultimately, be at the forefront of the industry and bottom of the cash curve.”

The acquisition will add value to Draslovka customers by offering “significantly improved real-time data collection,” the company reported. “That data can be used to optimize processing operations and reduce costs in addition to serving as an enabler for advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence tools.”

Blue Cube has installed more than 100 analyzers across mines worldwide and has a strong growth profile, especially in Africa and Australia.
