After more than 30 years of service in mine safety and health research, Mike Brnich retired from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. He will remain on the board of directors of the Pittsburgh Coal Mining Institute of America, the SME International Academy of Mine Safety and Health Board of Directors, and the Mine Rescue Veterans of the Pittsburgh District.
