Karen Poniachik
Former Chilean Minister of Mining and Energy and Secretary of State Karen Poniachik (57) passed away on October 12, 2022. A journalist by profession, she graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She had an extensive career as a consultant and was also an international analyst in the field of communications. Chilean President Gabriel Boric had appointed her to represent the country in the APEC Business Advisory Council. Poniachik also served on Lundin Mining’s Board of Directors since February 2021.
