Simformotion released the Cat Simulators System, SimLite Dozer, for use in classrooms and off-site training. The system can be used to teach miners to operate a dozer.
The solution is available in multiple languages, features Genuine Cat controls, and can travel in pelican cases. A virtual reality edition and online courses are also available.
Exercises include lessons on how to perform a walk-around inspection, principles of steering, straight and level dozing, backfilling, and slot dozing. An open training mode in each exercise offers opportunities for additional practice, skill refinement, and recreating site-specific scenarios, the supplier reported.
