Consolidating operations, Jacobs Engineering Group has created a Field Services business unit for North America. The new direct hire Field Services business unit integrates some 12,000 field services craft personnel from across the U.S. and Canada. In addition to a continued commitment to safety, the business unit adds flexibility to the company’s ability to access and mobilize a greater depth of field services expertise to meet client needs, according to Jacobs.

Jacobs’ field services capability includes sustaining services (plant operations and maintenance and small-cap construction); stand-alone construction and construction management; and ongoing EPC & EPCM project support.

“This move leverages the breadth and depth of our world-class field services capability, backed by the strength of our global resources and experience within the broader Jacobs network,” said Lowell Wiles, senior vice president and general manager, Jacobs Field Services. “The tight integration of our field services team improves our flexibility and cohesion, ultimately driving even greater value to our clients. We can now offer truly integrated delivery solutions for our clients’ portfolio of assets, including design, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance.”

Jacobs is one of the largest and most diverse providers of technical professional and construction services.
