Parker Hannifin claims its new XTR (Extreme Resistance) coated hose and tube fittings provide unprecedented corrosion protection for mobile and industrial applications that come into contact with harsh chemicals or environmental elements.
Using XTR coating, according to the supplier, enables users to avoid potential costs of corrosion damage to hydraulic systems. In a recent ASTM B117 Salt Spray Test, the XTR-coated fittings provided standard level corrosion resistance for more than 720 hours—more than seven times the SAE requirement of 96 hours.
