The Euro Mine Expo conference, hosted by Nolia, concluded on Thursday, June 14. The event, which took place in Skellefteå, Sweden, attracted more than 1,800 people. It focused on new business opportunities and future visions for the mining industry with forward-looking presentations from mining companies and suppliers. The topic of the carbon-free mine was debated along with underground electrification and battery technology.

Jaana Tengman, project manager for Euro Mine Expo, believes that this year’s edition was perhaps the most interesting to date. “There was a lot of interest, something the program and the presence of several of the major mining companies contributed to,” Tengman said.

Nearly 200 suppliers showcased their products and services at Euro Mine Expo. The next edition takes place in June 2020.
