Veolia Water Technologies is sponsoring a $2,000 scholarship at the Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) 2015 Annual Conference & Expo in Denver, CO. The Veolia scholarship is in addition to the scholarships that SME offers. Veolia develops systems to provide high quality water, treat and reuse wastewater, produce and recover energy, extract raw materials and capitalize on valuable byproducts.
The company has dedicated experts worldwide that specialize in mine water applications. One specific criterion for the Veolia scholarship is that the applicants show an interest to pursue a career in water-related matters within the mining industry. Scholarship applications and full criteria can be found on the SME website. The recipient of the Veolia scholarship will be recognized during the SME Environmental Division luncheon at the SME Annual Meeting and Exhibit.
Submissions are due by October 15th, 2014.
