Vena Resources has announced the sampling results for exploration activities on the Esquilache silver project in southeastern Peru. High-grade silver has been confirmed in surface outcrops of the Sepulveda, Creston, Elvira, Katty and Julian veins with values up to 25 oz/mt silver, 5.68% lead and 1.45% zinc. The current exploration program commenced with a compilation of historical data from the early 1960s when Hochschild Mining actively mined the deposit. A planned drill campaign will test the principal veins for continuity. The testing is expected to total some 1,700 to 2,000 m.
