Sandvik Mining has entered into a supply contract with BHP Billiton for MF460 Borer Miners at BHP’s new Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada. Located near Saskatoon, Jansen will employ an undisclosed number of MF460s to mine potash. The Sandvik Borer Miners will incorporate the latest technology available to enhance automation, production, life cycle costs and safety. Sandvik Borer Miners are used around the world for mining soft rock, such as potash and trona, and are well known for their high production rates and low life cycle costs.
