Normet has establishes its own sales and customer support company, Normet Africa, in Johannesburg. The new subsidiary will take care of sales and servicing of the entire Normet product range and will also establish local production for construction chemicals.
“Our strategy is to be as close as possible to our customers wherever they are in the world,” said Tom Melbye, president, Normet Group, and managing director, Normet International Ltd. “It is therefore obvious to have our own company for the sales and after sales support for our Normet and Semmco line of equipment in sub-Sahara Africa, one of the most important mining markets on the globe.”
“Building up our own resources and presence in Africa shows our long-term commitment to the customers and markets,” said Andreas Enzler, vice president of Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, Normet. “Our fruitful business relationship and cooperation with GHH Mining Machines will come to an end after a mutually agreed upon transition period in all countries of southern Africa.”
