On June 4 and June 12, the U.S. National Mining Association (NMA) will conduct one-day risk assessment workshops in Denver, Colorado, and Charleston, West Virginia, respectively. The workshops are designed to provide attendees with a thorough understanding of risk management and risk assessment principles and terminology. Attendees will also participate in mining-specific risk assessment exercises to familiarize participants with the application of risk assessment tools.

During the workshops, industry peers will discuss how these techniques have been applied at their operations to identify, assess and manage risk. The workshops will have application across organizations as the tools and techniques apply broadly to the array of risks, from enterprise-wide to site and task specific, that companies encounter. There is no registration fee for the workshops.
