Amec Foster Wheeler has emerged as a $7.8 billion global engineering, project delivery, support, power equipment and consultancy firm with the combination of AMEC plc and Foster Wheeler AG, officials said.
The company boasts a highly skilled workforce of more than 40,000 employees in 50 countries; the combined entity generated pro-forma trading of $814 million in 2013. Amec Foster Wheeler supplies infrastructure while designing, fabricating and supplying advanced boiler systems for industrial applications.
The combination boosts considerable positions in North America and Europe while enhancing Middle Eastern, Asian and Latin American market growth. Engineering and delivery will be managed through units worldwide; each business will be supported with a regional strategy and project delivery function orientation.
