HDR Engineering has acquired Salva Resources, a global provider of technical and commercial services for mining exploration and investment. The acquisition includes Salva’s exploration and mining consultancy and Salva Reports’ commodity analysis group. Salva Resources has more than 200 employees in Australia, India, Indonesia, Mongolia and the United Kingdom. Salva Resources will now do business as HDR|Salva; financial terms were not disclosed.

HDR’s other Australian operations include HDR|DKS, which joined HDR in July 2012; HDR is a global employee-owned firm providing architecture, engineering, consulting, construction and related services through operating companies with more than 8,000 employees.

An exploration, mining and commodities consultancy, Salva Resources has offices in Australia, India, Indonesia, the U.K. and Mongolia, and teams providing technical and commercial advice to the world’s major exploration companies.
