The U.S. subsidiary of global engineering and environmental consultancy Golder Associates has acquired the geo-environmental contractor InterGEO Services, Inc. The move accentuates Golder’s core practice including linings, geo-synthetic materials, mechanically stabilized earth, ground improvement and sediment remediation “with a strong commitment to safety, quality and technical excellence,” said Rick Keenan, Golder’s Construction Division Leader.

InterGEO operates as a general and specialty contractor and construction manager while serving the same sectors as Golder. The 12-year-old, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area-based company provides other services including vapor barriers, storm water management, water treatment lagoons and erosion control.

Golder, with 8,000 employees in 180 offices, represents clients in oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, power and urban development sectors worldwide.
