CAE Mining officials have announced further market entry into China with the sale of CAE Studio 5D Planner to Canadian-based China Gold. The software solution will be used at the Jiama copper-polymetallic mine in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. “We welcome China Gold to our growing software user base and look forward to supporting the company’s planning process,” said CAE Mining President Damian McKay.

The planner integrates processes into a single data set with an animation-driven, visual audit. The software is also scalable for future needs with modules of genetic algorithms, schedule optimization, blending, drill and blast and ventilation modeling.

The Jiama project is one of the largest copper gold polymetallic projects on the Chinese mainland within the Gangdise Copper Metallogeny Belt in Central Tibet; the mine has potential to increase production via current open-pit expansion and new operational development.
