Atlas Copco announced the launch of a new range of load haul dumpers (LHDs) and mine trucks, collectively known as the Green Line, primarily powered by electricity. “Our customers spoke and we answered,” said Shane Roden, product manager for Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation. “The Green Line is a product of extensive market research and years of development to provide innovative solutions for our customer’s applications.”

The emissions-free equipment consumes less energy, generates less heat and runs much quieter than traditional diesel-powered trucks and LHDs. Should the mine lose power, Atlas also provides a portable generator, the Gentrail GT325.
