Fission Uranium has reported results from an additional two drill holes testing the recently-discovered R1515W zone more than 1.5 km west of the Triple R deposit at its Patterson Lake South project in Canada’s Athabasca Basin. The two holes encountered very wide mineralization and strongly radioactive peaks in multiple stacked zones. Of particular interest, hole PLS17-564 intersected 135.5 m of total composite mineralization, including 8.25 m of greater than 10,000 cps (counts per second) and multiple intervals of less than 65,535 cps, the maximum reading possible by the RS-121 scintillometer before saturation.

Paramount Gold Nevada has reported assay results from five new holes at its Grassy Mountain project in eastern Oregon, confirming the consistency of both the grade and thickness of the gold mineralization for economic underground mining. Intercepts include 49 m at 2.91 g/mt, 24.7 m at 5.42 g/mt, and 35 m at 4.53 g/mt.
