B2Gold has reported positive drill results from the Mamba zone of its Anaconda-area property 20 km from its Fekola mine in southwest Mali, as well as positive infill drill results at the mine and positive step-out results north of the mine.

Mamba drilling has extended the shallow, high-grade saprolite zone by approximately 600 m to more than 1 km of strike length and has discovered a wide, good-grade sulphide zone directly beneath the saprolite zone. The sulphide zone is open down plunge to the south, indicating the potential for Fekola-type gold deposits.

Based on these positive drill results, B2Gold has increased its 2019 exploration budget in Mali by $3 million to $20.5 million. An additional 30,000 m of drilling is planned for completion by year end, and the company expects to continue with an aggressive exploration program in 2020.
