Highland Gold has reported positive results from a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) of its Kekura gold project in the Chukotka region of northeast Siberia and is proceeding with development. Key equipment will be selected and ordered in 2018 for delivery to site in early 2019.
Preliminary construction work is underway, with the bulk of construction due to take place in 2019 and 2020. Pre-commissioning is scheduled for late 2020 or early 2021, with ramp-up to full production in the second half of 2021.
