Vertiflo Pump Co. reported the 700, 800 and 900 Series immersion pumps come standard with premium efficiency motors for variable frequency drive (VFD) operation. The pumps, built for sump drainage, flood control and process drainage, meet U.S. EPA and OSHA requirements.

The VFDs provide varying flow and head performance, and offer a cost-effective method of varying the pump performance while conserving energy consumption, the company reported.

The Series 800 units are built for heads of up to 230 ft (70 m), temperatures up to 350°F (175°C), pit depths down to 26 ft (8 m), and up to 3,000 gallons per minute (g/m) (11.4 kL/m). The vertical, immersion sump pumps have a semiopen impeller, external adjustment, and come standard with NEMA C face motors. VFD motors are optional. The units are built of cast iron, 316 SS or Alloy 20 construction.

Series 900 vortex pumps were designed for heads of up to 100 ft (30 m), pit depths down to 26 ft (8 m), and up to 1,500 g/m (5.7 kL/m).
