The R11 comes with a fourth-generation Intel Haswell Core processor, many exclusive features, and options for customization. Along with its ability to withstand 4-ft drops, shocks, and vibrations, the WiFi- and Bluetooth-enabled Durabook R11 also has an IP65 rating for dust and water-sealing protection and offers an operating temperature range of –14° to 131° F. The R11 includes built-in G-sensor, gyroscope sensors, and a light-ambient sensor; Intel high- definition audio; M2-SATA SSD 64GB/128GB storage; a Micro SD card slot that supports SDHC and SDXC; and a front-side, full HD camera as well as an integrated rear-facing 5-megapixel camera. A lithium-polymer battery pack provides a battery life of 6–7 hours, based on configuration. Options include an Intel Core processor i7; M2 SSD storage; sunlight-readable display; digitizer and active stylus pen; barcode scanner, supporting 1D, 1D/2D barcodes; and an integrated GPS/WWAN (LTE Module). Expansion module options include: NFC/RFID, MSR & CAC (magnetic stripe reader and common access card), or smart card (CAC only).
