Komatsu reported the new HRX 1000 can cut through abrasive materials that traditional sizers cannot. The HRX sizer is designed to crush harder, abrasive minerals, while providing all the benefits inherent to sizers, such as fines reduction and the ability to pass muddy, sticky material with no over-crushing, Komatsu said.
The HRX 1000 uses pick technology proven on Joy and Komatsu crushing products.
The first HRX 1000 sizer was deployed to a cement plant in Thailand and crushes shale, limestone, andesite and overburden. There it handles varying feeds, proving its viability at a range of applications, Komatsu said.
