Its Permanent Magnet Axial Interpole (AIP) Pulleys are claimed to provide ideal automatic removal of unwanted iron from materials conveyed on belts to prevent machinery damage and product contamination. The axial interpole magnetic circuit provides a uniform magnetic field to remove tramp iron from material on almost any belt conveyor. The self-cleaning units, offered in permanent and electromagnetic designs, are available in 80 combinations of diameters from 8 to 36-in. (203 to 914 mm) and belt widths from 8 to 60-in. (203 to 1524 mm). All are constructed of quality steel center tubes with welded dividers to securely hold magnet stacks. Pulleys are all–welded heavy duty construction for use in severe applications involving extra-long conveyors, heavy loads or start–stop operations. Pulleys are painted and hub bore holes are coated to prevent rust or pitting.
