Regal Rexnord released the Jaure MTGR, a next-generation large gear coupling that builds on the success of the predecessor Jaure MTG. The new coupling features an enhanced best-in-class design that increases torque and bore capacity while reducing mass for more efficient power transmission, the company said.
The design also reduces the mass of the unit, which makes it easier to handle. It requires less time to heat during installation, reducing downtime by up to 6 hours, depending on the coupling size, Regal Rexnord said. The reduced weight lowers transportation costs.
MTGR gear couplings are available in 16 sizes, ranging from a minimum bore capacity of 150 mm to a maximum bore capacity of 1,200 mm. Engineered solutions are available upon request.
