Henecon, Altecrete and SAMMS launched the Hencon Altecreter, an articulated concrete transport truck for mechanized batch mixing and delivery of sprayed concrete, or wetcrete, for tunnel support.
The unit reportedly features state-of the art fire suppression, pedestrian detection, and proximity detection. It has a hydrostatic and automatic hydro-dynamic brake system. The machine has a lifecycle of 15,000 hours; and the truck can operate at a utilization rate of up to 75% and an availability rate of roughly 90%, the partnership reported.
The Hencon Altecreter was designed for optimal performance using Altecrete’s nontoxic MineCrete S3 concrete, which reportedly offers consistent quality, increased adhesion to the rock, low water uptake, and no shrinkage. The machine can deliver up to 12 m3 per hour of wetcrete. It has an advanced monitoring system and pre-determined calibration system to ensure mixing quality conformance, the partnership said.
