Pacific Tek’s PV-160-TLO Power-Vac is designed to work in rough industrial areas with low overhead clearance, and weighing just over a ton, can easily be towed to a work site. Slightly more than 5 ft (1.5 m) tall, it is powered by a 25-hp diesel engine equipped with a catalytic converter approved for use in mines.
The vacuum has a 3-in.-diameter pickup hose and a 150 gallon (568-liter) debris tank that can hold either liquid or solid material and hydraulically tilts to empty. An optional high-pressure water jet can be included to assist in cleanup. Tandem torsion axles allow the unit to stay balanced whether empty or full.
