Cummins unveiled the range extended electric driveline (REEV), the company’s first electrified off-highway powertrain concept. The driveline is for wheeled loaders, excavators and more, the company reported. It offers a balance of battery power with a compact engine-generator. It works like the Cummins Battery Electric, but has both an F3.8 Stage V powered generator and plug-in options for charging. The generator uses a high-efficiency traction motor, which provides 1,850 Nm continuous torque with a peak boost of 3,400 Nm.
