Volvo Penta ran two customized training courses for its industrial business dealers and customers in Anchorage, and at the Pogo Mine near Delta Junction in Alaska, U.S. For the first course, spanning three days, technicians from Delta Industrial Services, Matson-Dutch Harbor, Tyler Rental and Sandvik received full comprehensive training on Volvo Penta’s industrial heavy-duty diesels. The second training course, at the remote, sprawling underground Pogo Mine, about 350 miles northeast of Anchorage, Delta Industrial and Pogo technicians trained on diagnostic tools for the engines and after-treatment systems on the high-capacity loaders at the mine.
Volvo Penta offers a wide selection of training courses. The company reported it trained more 1,200 technicians across all business segments in 2017 alone.
