Techking Tires Ltd. reported custom-made ETD2S tires are on new XCMG XC958 high-end loaders used by Rio Tinto at port terminals in Karratha, Western Australia.
The “tires and SCMG loaders have been put into use for Rio Tinto and work well at present,” the Techking field service engineer at the site said.
The supplier also reported SUPER ROCK tires are on Komatsu 785 trucks at an Oyu Tolgoi copper mine in Mongolia.
Techking said tracking data on the tires show they “reached an average service life of 4,201 hours to date and could go beyond Rio Tinto’s expectation by reaching an estimated service life of 10,406 hours.”
