Precisions Pulley & Idler (PPI) acquired Van Gorp Corp., a manufacturer of conveyor components. Both companies are headquartered in in Pella, Iowa, U.S.
PPI said combining the companies was a natural fit. “While we have traditionally been competitors in some markets, we’ve each developed independent strengths and abilities,” said CEO Matt Buckingham. “We believe these combined strengths and increased scale will enable us to further enhance our ability to provide unparalleled customer service.”
Van Gorp said the development will benefit customers. “The opportunity and timing to bring these two companies together was right,” said President Joe Canfield. “The optimization of the facilities and resources will ensure the products and services our customers count on everyday will only continue to improve.”
