Orocobre Ltd. and Energy Exploration Technologies Inc. (EnergyX) signed a letter of intent on developing and deploying direct lithium extraction technologies.
EnergyX said the companies will try to develop solutions that speak to several challenges associated with lithium extraction. “We look forward to making direct lithium extraction technologies the new norm,” the company said.
Orocobre is an Australian-based mineral resource company specialized in lithium and borax extraction and operating in Argentina’s lithium triangle. It produces on average 42,500 tons per year. EnergyX is a technology company focused on lithium extraction and solid state battery energy storage systems.
